Electrical engineering: The second SOS Children's Village has developed since 1996 in the city of Lavrovo, which is about 7 km from Oryol and 350 km south of Moscow. Many children and young people in this region are still suffering the long-term consequences of the nuclear disaster in Tchernobyl, Ukraine, in 1986. Here, too, ELCON was commissioned with the planning of electrical building services and technical infrastructure. This required contact with local authorities and public suppliers to obtain the necessary licenses and permits, as well as logistics.
